Hey + Welcome! I’m Stacey.
Personal Trainer + hot mess mama to two girls and my handsome pitbull Tater. I’m married to Anthony, my #1 supporter + my first and only MATCH.COM date.
I have a passion for helping women feel strong + confident AF in the body they were given. There is no such thing as TMI when it comes to being a woman, being a mother or my mental health. I swear too much for some people and I am ALWAYS sporting a headband, a coffee and a soda water. My time here is too short to be anything but happy or someone I’m not. HAPPINESS is family, nature, sunshine, music, movement, breathing, handstands and helping women feel amazing.
My Journey
How I Got Into Fitness & Nutrition
I have always loved exercise and sports for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, running was my outlet, until I was told I was well on my way to a double knee replacement. The pain tempered my enjoyment of life and an outlet I relied heavily on, running, was no longer available to me.
In the first photo I was overexercising (mostly cardio) and didn’t pay attention to what I put in my body. I drank too much alcohol and ate whatever I wanted while drinking.
After college I began my career in personal training. I quickly discovered kettlebells + strength training as a way to develop my glutes and core and get strength and cardio in one. This type of training made me feel athletic again.
It wasn’t until I entered my first figure competition that I realized, nutrition is the key to fat loss, but dieting must never be done to an extreme.
I know because I did go to that extreme.
Finding Balance
As a young female in the fitness industry I decided that if I couldn’t get noticed for my brains alone then maybe the perfect body would do the trick.
Middle photo: killer bod attained and just plain MISERABLE.
At this point in time I was a mediocre coach with no fitness/ life balance. I allowed the idea of perfection to rule my life. Through the pursuit of the perfect body, I ended up hitting my rock bottom.
Now I am STRONG and VIBRANT.
I am the coach I want to be. I spend my time helping women JUST LIKE YOU get strong and find food freedom.
Fitness + nutrition should be pleasures that complement your life, not take it over.
Progress Not Perfection
My experiences have shaped me as a woman and as a coach, and have transformed my message and purpose. I will NEVER EVER lead another woman down the path of self-destruction in order to achieve “a goal.” As women we have SO MUCH TO OFFER THE WORLD that has NOTHING at all to do with our appearance.
“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.”
Since starting Stacey Schaedler Strength 8 years ago, my goal as a coach has been to lead women in the right direction utilizing intelligent strength training and sustainable nutrition. Helping them to gain knowledge and individual understanding of their bodies so that they can feel incredible, all the time.
Just like you I have a journey. By focusing on the content and quality of food, as well as the psychological effects it has on my happiness, I learned how to eat for life. I have helped thousands of women gain strength, eliminate pain, and create their own way to eat for life that is all based on awareness.
Fast forward 12 years and two kids later my body didn’t just “bounce back”. Pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and MOTHERHOOD are no joke. I want to support women and help them thrive during this special + challenging time. I have learned SO much over the past several years and will only continue to provide the best information for this population of women.
Far too many moms spend too much energy worrying about “getting their body back” instead of taking the time to let their bodies heal properly. I want you to feel amazing in your body for a really long time. When we shift the focus off of quick fixes and acknowledge that strength training our bodies is a constant evolution, magic happens.
